In her audio documentary ‘Drawn', Elena Dikomitis asks: "What does that look like: five or seven years of memories? Do some memories take up more space than others? Can I make a memory more or less prominent if I ask questions about it?” These reflections, initially triggered by a drawing made by her son, became a quest to understand the impact of trauma on a child’s memories. During her search, Elena meets another mother with a very different, yet similar experience. This is a story about the universality of trauma and a call for trauma-sensitivity, including in refugee-hosting countries.
