Barbara Schäfer, born 1961, PRIX EUROPA Participant since 1988. Startet radio career in Berlin, after University Diploma in German Literature and Media Sciences. Editor, director and programme maker of Radio Drama, Documentary, Radioessay in different radiostations in Germany. Until 2024 Head of Dept. Radio Drama/Documentary/Radio Art at Deutschlandradio, based in Cologne and Berlin. Lives in Upper Bavaria.
