Tomas Lindh, Sweden / Coordinator Digital Media Projects

‘For decades we’ve been able to rely on impact and outreach almost automatically for the stories we tell. This of course has changed dramatically. How to engage, how to activate and allow for the audience to interact and participate is one of our biggest challenges going forward. The need to reinvent ourselves is obvious, and it effects every part of how we do things, from idea, to development and production - all the way to publishing and marketing.’

Tomas Lindh has been working in public service broadcasting for the last 20 years, as head of development and head of programme at Swedish Yle and the last five years at Swedish Television as development manager and deputy head of programme for the minority language programming. A reoccurring theme for his work has been the exploration of how public service can remain relevant in a digital world, exploring cross media publishing and interactivity. His recent work has earned him the Prix Italia award for interactive projects in 2022 and his documentary work was awarded with the Buyer’s Coup de Coeur at MipDoc 2023.

Tomas Lindh coordinates the Digital Media Projects Category together with Kåre V. Poulsen and Manuel Thalmann.
