‘Linear TV is a powerful tool where the broadcaster decides what and when to offer and will always exist. But now that content is also offered on online platforms, that media users consume when and where they want, this forces public broadcasters to pursue the highest quality because ‘once online, always online’. PRIX EUROPA gives us a forum that helps achieve this goal. But high quality does not necessarily imply high budgets just as online series should not be associated with small budgets.’

Until recently, I worked for VRT, the public broadcaster in the Flemish part of Belgium, where I started my career as a creative and line producer. Working with formats such as entertainment, live shows and documentaries gave me a chance to learn all the angles and boundaries of television making.
But fiction was really my thing!  As an executive fiction producer, I follow up on co-productions as needed, both on content and day-to-day operations and processes for both linear and online TV.
