‘Having commenced her career as a news reporter, Carmen brings over 20 years of broadcasting experience to the table. She feels strongly that everyone in society should feel seen and heard in the programmes we make. And she is an advocate of diversity of perspectives.’

Carmen Fernald is editor-in-chief of the Philosophy of Life and the Caribbean network for the Dutch Public broadcaster NTR (part of the NPO group of public service media). With a team of enthusiastic programme-makers and journalists, she develops programmes, podcasts, and online productions in which social developments are brought into connection with diverse faiths with a focus on Islam and Hinduism.
